A Treasure for a Lifetime

Nature or the environment which we live is a gift presented by the Almighty to be sustained for all three-time phases which are the past, present, and future. Any lack of care and love towards the environment at any time phase may cause severe damage and a collapse of the entire world. The impact towards the environment which consists of numerous of flora and fauna depicts the family union of multiple species leading a self-less harmonious life since their interaction with the humans has only increased the better living of humans.

However, it’s a shame to see humans betraying the living organisms that only cared about human’s welfare and reached to them when they were in trouble and in return our appreciation is shown in the form of urbanization.

There are restricted forest areas in the name of preservation and conservation among those tall skyscrapers and buildings that are built. Never once a thought was given to sustain the existing environment by nurturing both human and nature. Water which stands as a daily necessity is being polluted by irresponsible people who dump their waste into the nearby rivers creating a poison valley which then reaches the ocean and destroys the habitats of sea creatures. We are ignorant because of the water treatment stations that work hard in processing the water and

also we are able to import our seafood stock when the country’s supply is insufficient. Sea creatures are being found dead due to the consumption of plastics while some due to oil spills get landed on beaches with their carcasses as a proof of their tragic ending. As a long time effect, the hygiene level is being reduced and now direct water consumption leads to various ailments and even the fresh aquatic produces have to be examined twice to ensure their safety; the total opposite of the old days.

If we were to live the older generation time frame, when we walked on the road we would have smelled the fragrance of the flowers mixed with the cooking from the neighbourhood. Now, a mask has to be worn to avoid dust particles from giving us allergies and respiratory problems.

There are fewer trees and plants to filter the air. Dust clogs the refined pores of the leaves making it difficult for their natural filtering process to take place. Moreover, in the name of saving, unleaded oil usage is being reduced since many only think about the temporary satisfaction rather than the loss which they need to face pretty soon.

The initiation of bright flames as a way to speed the process of degradation is being opt and as a result, it doubles the temperature which then equals to the heat of the Sahara desert. Factories do not use a filter at their rooftop combustion which make even the life of the flying organisms to be at stake.

Birds chirping and crickets playing at night has now died off and are replaced with rushing vehicles on the road. To have this people are rushing to the outskirts as an annual tour just to escape the busy city life. The banging of tools in building areas are deafening and this only covers construction areas.

What about the honking sound as a result of human’s impatience? Lifting objects and slipping it away is an accident but when it’s the contrary then that does not have an antidote. Sleeping away the nights with plugged earphones and thick curtains covering the windows will be a solution in this civilized era but have we ever thought when was the last time we step out of the house and slept on the grass with the stars covering the skies?

If we are to do that now a car will be rushing pass us and to make it worst if it’s about enjoying the rain beforehand we will be bathed by the puddles of water. Human’s health is given a high priority in job areas and it is controlled to prevent the effect of noise pollution thus making its place to the last bench compare to the air and water pollution.

Therefore taking account of the matters mentioned above, it can be said that environmental pollution should not be a single handed mission by the authorities but it’s a collaboration of all standards of people to grasp the green surroundings equally as the fast booming urbanization. A tech-savvy nation might promise a high-income nation and diversified level of political standing but if we start to compensate for all those genuine hard works with the brown running water and dusty air the future will only behold an ever devastating world which humankind will fail to survive. So, let us all hold our hands for the world that combines the beauty of the past with all the best hope for the future and build the foundation which justifies both the development of the country and the certainty of a glorified green environment.
