Mirror mirror on the wall, what do you have for us all?

The mirror can be said as a common item in every home and sometimes there are multiple mirrors in a home just to have a view of us right before we walk out of home or before making a special appearance in front of someone. The mirror reflects the image which comes in view and we satisfy ourselves by that image without realizing the image within that plays an important role and awaits to be expressed and by that the true color is seen. What is reflected by our inner self is what makes our name a glory to be called or remembered and a face that is worth a thousand words.

My friend told me once, that our behavior or attitude should be a mirror image of us. This is because when we do something with all our heart deep down we will wish for it to return as such. However, in today’s world, it’s mostly about individualism where if they are good enough then they are happy with it and the other’s well-being is rarely even taken into consideration. If something good happens to them they are happy that it happened to them but would not think of that happiness to radiate to everyone else out there by the same action or gesture. So, here the mirror would like to conclude the important lessons whenever we step in front it to check ourselves.

Firstly, as the great man, Confucius said: “Everything has its beauty, but not everyone sees it.” In this world, when you widen your scope of view even the minute thing will be beautiful. Do not only wish to be complimented but also give a fair share of yours. Let it be a genuine one which comes from the heart. Changes can be seen gradually and the most significant one would be an increased level of gratitude and also viewing life from a brighter side. It’s an undeniable fact that every human has their own flaws but look at those imperfections as something valuable because it may turn out to be lessons or likelihood an opportunity for you to know the person better. A perfect thing gets less attracted compare to something with cracks here and there. When you are outside of your comfort zone, let your eyes and heart be the mirror and let it extend the things you see and explore.

Next, by the great man would be “Wheresoever you go, go with all your heart”. Here attitude and behavior are the key components. Always in human, our physical moves are faster than our intellect forgetting that once done or said it cannot be reversed. Thus, when you are going all out with your heart bring your mind as well since it can guide you with relevant and wise pieces of advice. Being a down to earth person is a wise step but always be alert and it’s crucial so that you won’t be pushed down to the earth till you can’t get up. It’s the law of nature whereby when you do even a little without expectation anywhere in return you will be blessed abundantly. So, always let your mind and heart reflect the true you.

Most importantly, just be yourself as the great man told, “I want you to be everything that’s you, deep at the center of your being.” Be something that you wished to, not enforce it on yourself just because you were told to do so. Everyone is unique in their own way with some highlighted part of errs that identifies them for who they are. Let your good thoughts and appreciation be shared along the way so that the good and positive vibes can be seen in all. Make a person feel good and let the smile be reflected throughout the day and I’m sure for that person it’ll be a pretty good start. Let the negative energy be subdued with persistent visualizing of your good reflective mood and put it to action.

“By three methods we may learn wisdom. First, by reflection, which is noblest. Second, by imitation which is easiest and third by experience, which is the bitterest.” , said Confucius. The noblest way of learning wisdom is through reflection and it is stated as the first step. So, let’s be the best version of ourselves not to be a peoples pleaser but to be satisfied with our own reflection and be a human that defines the true meaning of beauty.
